Our coaching staff is comprised of young and experienced coaches from many backgrounds, who have a passion for football and teaching kids!
Koda Thor - President and Founder
Coach Koda is the President, founder, and head counselor of Future Five Stars Football. Koda is also a personal football trainer for 15+ kids in the South Bay area. Koda coaches at Mira Costa High School where he is the Varsity running backs and linebackers coach. He is currently a student at Auburn University where he studies sports communication and psychology. While at Mira Costa, Koda was a team captain for the varsity football team where he played running back and linebacker. He was awarded first team All-Bay League honors and was selected for the Lions All-Star game. Koda has five years of coaching experience.
Coach Zane Thor is the Head Counselor at Future Five Stars. Zane is a student at Texas Christian University where he works for the football team. Zane played at Mira Costa where he served as the Varsity Team Captain, playing linebacker and running back. Zane also works with kids as a personal trainer in the South Bay, focusing on weightlifting. Zane also has 2 years of BCS coaching experience.
Nick Carpino is one of the lead counselors of Future Five Stars Football Camp. While at Mira Costa, Nick was a team captain for the varsity football team where he played quarterback. He was awarded All-Area and All-Bay League honors and was selected to the Lions All-Star game. Nick has two years of BCS coaching experience. He is currently a student at Auburn University where he studies business.
Coach Sam Whitney is back again for a third year at Future Five Stars Football Camp. Sam is a former Mira Costa Mustang Quarterback and is committed to play football at Amherst University! In 2019, Sam was awarded All-Bay League Offensive Player of the Year honors, as well as All-CIF and Area Newcomer of the Year honors. Sam has two years of BCS coaching experience.
Coach Cole Crotty is a Future Five Stars personal trainer, and is excited for his second year working at the camp! He is an upcoming senior at Mira Costa High School where he is a team Captain. He plays Wide Receiver, Defensive Back, and Quarterback. Cole was awarded with 1st Team All-CIF, All-Area, and All Bay-League honors this past season!
Coach Matty Kraskouskas is an incoming senior at Mira Costa and is the current starting Running Back of the Mustangs Football Team. He won the Tennessee Football State Championship with Meigs County High School where he played on the defensive line in 2020 before returning to Mira Costa his junior year. Matty carried the ball 122 times for 1500 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns this past year earning 1st Team All Bay League Honors.
Coach Cooper Joseph is back again for a second year at Future Five Stars Football Camp. Cooper is an upcoming junior at Mira Costa where he plays football as a wide receiver and defensive back. He works as a personal trainer under the Future Five Stars program. Cooper has one year of BCS coaching experience. Cooper was Coach Koda's first client and current understudy as he hopes to coach football more in the future.
Nick Darrow is back again for a third year at Future Five Stars Football Camp. Nick is the Director of Operations for Future Five Stars Camp. He is currently a student at UCLA where he is studying business economics and statistics. Nick also has two years of BCS football coaching experience.
Brian Kaiserman is the Co-founder and one of the lead counselors at Future Five Stars Football Camp. He is currently studying real estate and marketing at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Brian has been working with Future Five Stars since its inception and has two years of BCS coaching experience.
Coach Kayle Marsh is returning for his second year at Future Five Stars! The recent graduate from Mira Costa played Wide Receiver scoring 10 touchdowns sophomore year earning Bay League Honors and 2 touchdowns in 2 games junior year before tearing his ACL. He was on pace to break nearly every receiving record at Mira Costa but unfortunately his injury prevented him from playing his junior and senior season. Kayle embodies the phrase “hard working” as his determination to rehab from his injury earned him Honorary Team Captain Honors his Senior year. He is planning on walking onto UC Berkeley’s football team this fall.
Coach Brett McCalla just graduated this spring from Mira Costa and is committed to play college football at Central Washington University! Brett was a 3 year starter, playing Linebacker and Tight End for Mira Costa’s varsity football team, earning 2x 1st Team All Bay League honors. During his senior season he recorded 151 tackles, 8 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 19 receptions, and 4 touchdowns.
Coach Dylan Kaiser is making his Future Five Stars debut this summer! He was a 4 year member of Mira Costa Football playing Wide Receiver and Safety. Dylan works as a personal trainer for the Future Five Stars Program where he teaches the fundamentals of the game to kids in the South Bay. Dylan will be attending the University of Colorado Boulder this fall.
Coach David Bugdanowitz is returning for his second season with Future Five Stars Camp! David played Linebacker at Mira Costa where he acceled his senior season recording numerous sacks and TFLs as well as earning Bay League Honors. Bugdanowitz was the head football coach for Vistamar High School this past season where they went 6-2! He also works as a personal trainer for the Future Five Stars Program. David will be a Junior at Loyola Marymount University this fall.
Kathleen Musick is our Graphic Designer! She is an incoming Senior at Auburn University. Kathleen has been an integral part of our marketing team and is an Adobe Creative Cloud expert and ambassador.
